David Young, who manages ‘Point of Contact’, is an ex-teacher and also enjoys using his video camera as a tool to communicate with.  This means that ‘Point of Contact’ has lots of powerful footage that illustrates something of the reality of the issues that PoC deals with.

David gives talks, assemblies and runs workshops in (mainly) Lincolnshire schools, although he may be able to travel further if this is possible.  Once a year, (usually just after Fair Trade fortnight ends in early March), one or two of ‘Point of Contact’s partner workers travel over from Ethiopia to give joint presentations on global issues together with David.  This has had a powerful impact on young people who are given a unique insight into the challenges and reality of life in a poorer country from the perspective of someone who lives and works there.
